INDIAN MINISTER KAMAL NATH CALLS ON M'SIAN PM
PUTRAJAYA, Jan 5 (Bernama) -- Visiting Indian Minister of Road Transport and
Highways Kamal Nath on Tuesday called on Malaysian Prime Minister Najib Razak at
his office here.
Kamal, who began a two-day visit to Malaysia Monday, met with Najib at
about 11am. Also present was Works Minister Shaziman Abu Mansor.
The Indian minister is expected to meet with International Trade and
Industry Minister Mustapa Mohamed and visit the Stormwater Management and Road
Tunnel (SMART) in Kuala Lumpur this evening before returning to his country.
At a meeting with Shaziman on Monday, Kamal had expressed India's interest
for more Malaysian companies to help develop the country's infrastructure.
Malaysian construction companies have completed 40 road, highway and bridge
projects to the tune of RM6.02 billion in India and are currently implementing
nine projects valued at RM1.05 billion. (US$1=RM3.42)
