CREATIVE EDUCATORS CAPABLE OF CREATING QUALITY HUMAN CAPITAL
KUCHING (Malaysia), Jan 6 (Bernama) -- Educators in the country were told
Tuesday night that they need to be creative and innovative in implementing the
process of teaching and learning in order to create a pool of first class human
capital.
Deputy Education Minister Dr Mohd Puad Zarkashi said the time has come for
educators to transform the country's education by injecting creativity and
innovativeness among students.
Speaking at a gathering at the Batu Lintang Teacher's Education Institute
here, the capital of East Malaysia state of Sarawak, Mohd Puad also said that it
would not be easy to be a successful educators in the future given the numerous
challenges facing the profession.
He also paid tribute to teachers who were willing to be posted in rural
areas, saying they were doing the rural students a great service.
Meanwhile, Mohd Puad said the Education Ministry was constantly monitoring
menus in school canteens to ensure the meals and drinks sold were safe for
consumption.
He said that the Education Department in each state would issue a circular
to remind school authorities to constantly monitor the sale of food and drinks
to ensure they were nutritious and of high quality.
