Charitable and education organisations of Vietnam, US and Japan to continue to team up
Hanoi (VNA) – Charitable and education organisations of Vietnam, US and Japan will
continue to team up to build around 20 small-sized schools for disadvantaged areas
in Vietnam in 2010, according to the Quan Doi Nhan dan (People’s Army) daily.
The construction, which is estimated to cost more than 500,000 USD, will be jointly
undertaken by the Vietnam Assistance for the Handicapped (VNAH), the Health and
Education Volunteers (HealthEd) of the US , and the Asian Education and Friendship
Association (AEFA) - Japan .
The daily said recently, officials from those organisations have visited mountainous
areas of the central province of Quang Nam and the central city of Da Nang to
decide on sites for planned schools.
As many as 43 schools have been built in Vietnam since 2005 by those
organisations with the funding provided by the Nippon Foundation and
AEFA-Japan.-Enditem
