CIS education ministers discuss cooperation in Bishkek
BISHKEK, June 12 (Itar-Tass) - The 21st session of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) Council on Cooperation in the Field of Education and the14th conference of the CIS Education ministers are held in the Kyrgyz capital on Thursday.
An official in the Kyrgyz government press service has told Itar-Tass that the talks are involving the Education ministers of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Moldova, Russia, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, and Ukraine.
The press service official pointed out, "A further development of the common educational space in the CIS and cooperation among CIS countries in the field of education in the period from 2008 to 2010 will be the main subjects of discussion at these ministerial meetings".
