Rehearsals for Vienna concert
Astana, January 10, 2009, Khabar - Astana is witnessing rehearsals for a concert which will happen on the 13th of January in Vienna.
And it will be devoted to the chairmanship of Kazakhstan in the OSCE. The main part of the concert, which will happen over three days in the Habsburg Palace, will involve the works of Latif Khamidi, Mukan Tulebayev, Kurmangazy and Akhmet Zhubanov. Currently, the musicians and vocalists of opera theatres of Almaty, Astana, as well as the Kurmangazy Kazakh State Orchestra are preparing for the concert. The programme will also involve Giuseppe Verdi, Richard Wagner, Rossini and Frédéric Chopin. The famous Kazakhstan musician and winner of Lovro von Matacic international contest of conductors in Croatia, Alan Buribayev will conduct the orchestra. The concert in Vienna will involve over 100 musicians.

- Although I have a lot of work and tours, for me it is very important to participate in such an important event as the concert of the OSCE in Vienna. Of course, I have found time for my home country and our musicians and it is very important for me to perform on behalf of Kazakhstan.
