Contraband cargo of weapons and ammunition

Almaty, January 10, 2009, Khabar - Contraband cargo of weapons and ammunition was detained on the Kazakhstani-Chinese border. Hiding place was found by the customs officers of Dostyk during the inspection of the container with used cars from the United States. The cargo crossed the ocean and was going to Almaty through China. Customs officers seized 3,600 cartridges of 5.6 mm, 2 pistols, air rifle with telescopic sight, 160 pieces of gas cans and 6 metal boxes with ammunition for pneumatic guns. The whole arsenal is sent for the ballistic analysis.
