Turkish university hosts “Iran, Land of Wonders” slideshow

TEHRAN, Jan. 10 (MNA) -- A slideshow entitled “Iran, Land of Wonders” was held by the Iranian photographer Ahmad Motalaei at the Anadolu University of Turkey in Eskisehir on Friday.
The program was arranged by Gülbin Özdamar, head of the university’s Department of Communication.
The slideshow, featuring social activities of Iranian women from different ethnic groups, was reviewed and discussed in the presence of Ms. Özdamar and the students.
Özdamar expressed hope that she can manage additional exhibits by the artist in a broader context, helping to better introduce Iran’s culture and society to the students.
Motalaei also made a short speech, saying, “Iranian women have participated actively in numerous societal roles. They have participated in all sorts of political, social, cultural and sports activities over the past 30 years.”
“Iran is home to a variety of ethnic groups, including Azeri, Kurd, Baluch and many more, and despite cultural and linguistic differences, they are all Iranians,” Motalaei remarked.
Motalaei is a graduate of graphic design and has focused on both graphic art and photography. So far, he has participated in group exhibitions and festivals in Japan, Russia, and Austria.
He is currently preparing for an exhibit in Iran and later in several European countries, among them Italy, France and the Netherlands.
