Oyu Tolgoi mine commenced to export copper concentrate a year ago, and it plans to sell 900 thousand to one million tons of copper concentrate by late of this year. Thus, the sales revenue of the Oyu Tolgoi company is expected to reach 2-2.6 billion US dollars this year according to a preliminary calculation, the OT Executive Director Mr D.Ganbold said.
Oyu Tolgoi mine produced 252 thousand tons of copper concentrate in 2013. By the schedule of underground mine, the products will be exported in 2016. By the year 2021, the capacity of underground mine will be augmented by 50%, and 150 thousand tons of ore will be processed a day.
A financing for the underground mine might be resolved if the investors and the government of Mongolia manage to reach a final solution in September of this year.
