Head Of Sub-District Arrested On Charge Of Corruption

Ambon, Sept 3 (Antara) - Head of the Saparua sub-district, regency of Central Maluku Ferdinand Siahaya has been arrested by the Maluku high prosecution office on charge of corruption. Ferdinand was arrested after the investigators questioned a number of witnesses and confiscated evidence related to alleged corruption of state fund in 2011-2013. Ferdinand was already named suspect earlier, a spokesman of the Maluku high prosecution office Bobby Palapia said on Tuesday. Bobby said he could not yet give figure about the amount of losses to the state in the case, adding auditing is in process. He said further investigation is possible to lead to the arrest of other suspects.
