Iranian Artist To Mount Exhibition Of Artworks In France

Tehran, June 11, IRNA – Pominent Iranian illuminator Mostafa Aqamiri is planning to mount an exhibition of his works in France. Talking to IRNA, he said that he organized three consecutive exhibitions two years ago which were warmly welcomed. He further noted that his exhibitions were positive steps in line with introducing the Iranian art. Aqamiri, a graduate of handicrafts, has so far won various awards from Iranian and foreign festivals. He ranked first in the Algerian Miniature and Illumination Artistic Festival several years ago. He also took the first place in the illumination category of the ninth and tenth International Qurˈan exhibitions in Tehran. He also won golden badge of the Fourth Sharjah Biennial 2011 for illuminating Shahnameh, an epic work by the Iranian poet Hakim Abulqasem Ferdowsi./end
