Zarif congratulates Lebanon Independence Day

Tehran, Nov 22, IRNA – Iran's Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif in a message to Lebanon Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Gebran Bassil felicitated Lebanese Independence Day. In his message, Zarif expressed hope that Lebanon would re-establish its active and constructive role in the region, noting that bolstering bilateral cooperation is on Iran's agenda. Lebanese Independence Day is the national day of Lebanon celebrated on Nov 22 in commemoration of the end of the French mandate over Lebanon in 1943, after 23 years of mandate rule. 1378/IRNA
