Amirabdollahian stresses need for expanding Iran-Algeria cooperation in all fields

Tehran, IRNA - Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amirabdollahian in a meeting with the Algerian special envoy for international security affairs Ahmed Benyamina on Saturday stressed the need for developing Iran-Algeria cooperation in all spheres. Amirabdollahian met and held talks with Benyamina on the sidelines of the “First session of the Group of Friends in Defense of the Charter of the United Nations” here in Tehran, Iran. Referring to the great capacities of the two states, Amirabdollahian emphasized the interest of the Islamic Republic of Iran to promote bilateral cooperation with Algeria. The standpoints of the political leaders of the two countries are close and even the same on various issues, he said, adding that it is necessary to promote the relations between Iran and Algeria at the scientific, tourism, and parliamentary levels on par with the political relations of the two states.
