New Azerbaijan Party, Communist Party of China explore prospects for developing cooperation

Baku, November 14, AZERTAC Azerbaijani Deputy Prime Minister, Deputy Chairman and Executive Secretary of the New Azerbaijan Party (YAP) Ali Ahmadov has today met with Vice-Minister of the International Department of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China Li Jun. The visit aims to discuss the current state of and prospects for mutual cooperation and relations between Azerbaijan and China, as well as between the two countries` ruling parties. Underlining the importance of friendly relations between Azerbaijan and China, the deputy chairman of the New Azerbaijan Party said that the shared economic interests, the role of both countries in the restoration of the historical Silk Road and other factors provide a strong foundation for future cooperation. He also mentioned that “the overlapping interests that we share, will make a significant contribution to the further development of relations between our countries.” The meeting was also attended by the YAP Deputy Executive Secretary Siyavush Novruzov, head of the YAP international relations department, MP Sevinj Fataliyeva and Azerbaijani Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to the People's Republic of China Akram Zeynalli.
