Velayati leaves for Beirut

TEHRAN, May 04 (MNA) – To exchange views with Lebanese officials, Leader’s top advisor on international affairs left Tehran for Beirut on Wednesday in the morning. The senior aid to the Leader of the Islamic Revolution on international affairs, Ali Akbar Velayati, left Tehran for Beirut early on Wednesday to meet and exchange views with the Lebanese officials on the latest developments of Lebanon and the region. In addition to having a first-hand encounter with the newest events in the region, Velayati aims to participate at an international conference about the benefits of resistance and the destruction of terrorism. The former Iranian foreign minister steered Iran’s diplomacy for 16 years in both presidential terms of Ayatollah Khamenei, and both presidential terms of Ayatollah Hashemi.
