Newly-elected Thai government urged to work closely with private sector

BANGKOK, March 26 (TNA) - The Federation of Thai Industries (FTI) has called on the country's newly-elected administration to work more closely with the private sector. FTI Chairman Supant Mongkolsuthree made the call in Bangkok on March 25, one day after Thailand's new general election was organized successfully. Supant proposed that the newly-elected Thai government work together with the private sector through the Joint Standing Committee on Commerce, Industry and Bangkok (JSCCIB). The FTI chairman told journalists that JSCCIB has held many workshops of the private sector so far to work out proposed plans to be submitted to the newly-elected Thai government. However, the FTI chief urged the newly-elected Thai administration, once taking office, to send concerned Cabinet members to meet with the private sector more regularly to discuss and work out agreed public-private measures for its future implementations.
