Iran advances to 2024 AFC Futsal Asian Cup quarterfinals

TEHRAN, Apr. 21 (MNA) – Iran’s national futsal team emerged victorious against Bahrain to advance to the AFC Futsal Asian Cup Thailand 2024 quarterfinals.

Iran's national football team defeated Bahrain 5-3 in the 2024 AFC Futsal Asian Cup.

Alireza Rafieipour, Mehdi Karimi, Behrouz Azimi, and Saeid Ahmad Abbasi (who scored two goals) were all key players for Iran, while Mirza, Saleh Sanjar, and Ali Alaraibi scored for Bahrain.

In their next match, Iran will face Kuwait in the quarterfinal match on Monday.

This victory came after Iran's 3-1 win against Afghanistan in their first match of the competition.

The 2024 AFC Futsal Asian Cup is underway in Bangkok, Thailand, from April 17 to 28.
