Korean-style Energy-saving Oxygen Heat Blast Furnace

 Pyongyang, April 24 (KCNA) -- The Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex in the DPRK pushes ahead with the project to build an energy-saving oxygen heat blast furnace.
The wet construction of the building project has entered the final stage, and the making and assembling of steel structures for the body of a furnace, gasification and floating system mainly completed.
Progress was also made in the manufacture and installation of equipment.
The workers at the complex are concentrating efforts on the production and installation of steel structures of the main systems. They have increased the construction speed while producing tens of kinds of accessories by exploiting internal reserves.
They are putting spurs to the work for wrapping up the unfinished wet building projects in a short span of time by introducing rational working methods and pushing ahead with the construction of settling ponds in a three-dimensional way.
The designing team and technical personnel of the complex are working out new designs of each process and other ways to accelerate the project.
More successes are being made in the building project with each passing day thanks to the enthusiasm and devoted efforts of the officials and workers of the complex and various units determined to make a big stride in putting the metal industry on a Juche and modern basis this year. -0-
