Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker Ballet, which is one of the most famous ballet's the world has even known, will be staged in Mongolia’s State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet for the 27th year.
It has a tradition that The Nutcracker ballet is preformed in Mongolia once a year on the eve of New Year. This year, the Nutcracker will be performed in local area according to a request from rural people. Artists from the State Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet (featuring the largest number of young artists) are planning to leave for local area to perform the “The Nutcracker” ballet to rural audience for the first time. Mongolian artists perform the “The Nutcracker” in classical manner, but they plan to present the ballet in contemporary way in 2014 by acquiring official permission from the Boston Theatre.
