In Samarkand, Kazakhstan’s Center for International Programs organized a fair titled ‘Education Days of Kazakhstan in Uzbekistan’. Representatives of 15 leading universities of Kazakhstan talked about opportunities for students and prospects for obtaining education in Kazakhstan. Each year, the number of grants increases for outstanding international students. Dormitory and scholarships are provided. Uzbek school-leavers were interested in the attractive conditions of universities in Kazakhstan. 5,000 high school graduates of Uzbekistan choose to study in Kazakhstan.

- I attended Kazakhstan’s educational fair and got a lot of useful information about universities which offer different majors and conditions. I'm considering to study in Kazakhstan.

MADINA KHODIYEVA, HIGH SCHOOL STUDENT IN UZBEKISTAN:
- The exhibition was very useful. I am sure that young people in Samarkand will get the professional experience choosing universities of Kazakhstan.

Representatives of universities exchanged information on achievements of the educational institutions. Kazakh and Uzbek universities signed an agreement on cooperation, according to which international students will be able to study in Kazakhstan and receive a bachelor’s, masters and PhD degrees.

ZULFIYA TOREBEKOVA, VICE-PRESIDENT, CENTER FOR INTERNATIONAL PROGRAMS:
- Every year, Yasawi International Kazakh-Turkish University gives nearly 500 educational grants to citizens of Turkic-speaking countries. According to data, approximately 120 Uzbek students enroll in the university. This year, we expect about the same number.

More than 14,000 international students are studying in Kazakhstan. The number of international students will increase in the future. The next educational fairs of Kazakh universities will be held in Turkmenistan and India.
