Today, the Parliamentary spring session opened with attendance rate of 71.1 per cent. Parliament Speaker Mr M.Enkhbold delivered speech, underlining the importance of actions to revive economy. “ Some positive changes have been already noticed in the economy thanks to the special attention given by the parliament to switch to saving regime when approving amendments to the 2017 state budget as well as the government's hard work for the realization” said the Speaker.
He also noted that several issues should be resolved to implement the International Monetary Fund program, including making adjustments to 2017 state budget to generate stable income source and improve discipline.
President Ts.Elbegdorj attended the opening of the spring session and made a speech. He expressed his position regarding five issues that await solutions, such as improving responsibility, separating business and government affairs, cutting government expenditure, correct distortion connected to political parties and improving executive power.
Moreover, the President warned power holders to pay attention to extensive drug use by youth and abortion, noting that the latter should be allowed only when the mother’s life is in danger and warning the government to tighten policy on drug use.
