On September 3, the Governments of Mongolia and Russian Federation signed the Intergovernmental Agreement on reciprocal visa –free travel between citizens of the two countries.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on Thursday that the Agreement will officially enter into force from 14th of November 2014 as a sign of expanding bilateral relations between Mongolia and Russia.
As stated in the Agreement, holders of all types of passports of the two countries will be eligible to travel to each other’s country without visa up to 30 days, but not to exceed 90 days in any 180 day-period starting from the date of first entry. In case of staying of more than 30 days, a traveler needs to apply for a visa.
