27th General Meeting of Chongsanghoe Held

 

Pyongyang, September 24 (KCNA) -- The 27th regular general meeting of the Korean Youth Commercial Association in Japan (Chongsanghoe) was held in Mie Prefecture, Japan on September 16.

Present there were Pak Ku Ho, first vice-chairman and concurrently director of the Organizational Department of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), Jo Il Yon, vice-chairman of the Chongryon Central Standing Committee, Hyon Tae Sik, director of its Economic Department, Choe Pyong Ho, chairman of Chongsanghoe, and other members of the association.

A video of greetings from the motherland was shown at the meeting.

Choe Pyong Ho, chairman of Chongsanghoe, made an opening address and Song Myong Nam, chairman of its Central Standing Management Board, made a report.

The reporter referred to the successes and experience gained by Chongsanghoe in the work for supporting national education and revitalizing the lower-echelon organizations.

He called for putting the overall work of Chongsanghoe on the track of upturn in the future, in hearty response to the important letter sent by the respected Marshal Kim Jong Un to the participants in the 25th Congress of Chongryon.

Speeches were made at the meeting.

Then the "Chongsanghoe Prize" was awarded to exemplary members.

First Vice-chairman Pak Ku Ho made a speech.

He said that Kim Jong Un in his historic letter projected the Korean Youth Commercial Association in Japan as the main force and reserves of the movement of Koreans in Japan.

Noting that the rich and prospering Korean community in Japan would be unthinkable apart from the activities of Chongsanghoe, he called on its members to take the lead in the patriotic movement including national education in the future, too, and playing the vanguard role in ushering in a new era of prosperity of Chongryon by pooling the inexhaustible strength of the compatriots of all social strata.

Kim Min Gwan was elected chairman of Chongsanghoe. -0-
