6th Turkey-USA economic partnership commission meeting
WASHINGTON (A.A) - 05.03.2011 - The 6th meeting of the Turkey-USA Economic Partnership Commission took place in Washington under the chairmanship of Turkish Foreign Ministry deputy undersecretary Selim Yenel and Jose Fernandez, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for economy, energy and business world, on Friday.
In a joint statement issued after the meeting, it was said that the United States accepted to provide assistance to Istanbul to make this Turkish province an international financial center.
The U.S. will help Istanbul through sharing of vital information and technical assistance.
The Washington meeting focused on increasing ties between the business circles of the two countries and seeking for opportunities to develop cooperation between business communities.
