Bahrain participates in Arab League-OHCHR consultative meeting

Cairo, June 12 (BNA): Ambassador Dr. Arwa Hassan Al Sayed, Chief of the Human Rights Sector at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs led Bahrain’s delegation to the consultative meeting on international engagement with human rights mechanisms (Special procedures).

The meeting, which was organized by the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) and the Arab League, was held on June 11-12 in Cairo, Egypt.

The meeting discussed ways to strengthen cooperation with the UN human rights mechanisms.

A presentation highlighting cooperation with special procedures, the best Arab practices and ways to enhance opportunities for future cooperation was given.
