Bahrain participates in GCC youth and sports ministries' undersecretaries meeting

Muscat, May 3 (BNA): Youth Affairs Ministry's Undersecretary, Sarra Eshaqi, has participated in 39th meeting of the undersecretaries of the youth and sports ministries in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries.

The Undersecretary of the Culture, Sports and Youth in Oman, Basil bin Ahmed Al-Rawas, chaired the preparatory meeting for the 36th meeting of GCC Youth and Sports Ministers.

The meeting discussed a number of topics of common interest, including the resolution issued by the GCC Supreme Council in December 2022 in Riyadh on enhancing joint action towards digital transformation and modern technologies.

The undersecretaries reviewed the visions of GCC countries' youth and sports ministries on ways to strength joint GCC action in the youth field, stressing the need to continue launching proposals and initiatives aimed to enhance joint cooperation in this regard.

They also discussed launching a joint GCC humanitarian voluntary work programme for 2023, and the GCC Youth Day 2023, set to be marked on June 6.
