Bahraini ambassador to UK holds reception ceremony

London, June 9 (BNA): Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the United Kingdom, Shaikh Fawaz bin Mohammed Al Khalifa, held a reception ceremony at the Bahraini embassy in London for the assistants of the offices of members of the British House of Commons. It was attended by the embassy diplomats and invitees from the British parties and government institutions.

The Bahraini ambassador delivered a welcome speech in which he stressed deep strategic relations between the Kingdom of Bahrain and the United Kingdom. He pointed out the steady growth of bilateral relations in various domains, noting Bahrain’s active role in the negotiations of the Free Trade Agreement between the United Kingdom and the GCC countries. He also pointed out Bahrain’s active role in promoting security and stability in the Middle East and its hosting of the United Kingdom Naval Support Facility in the Gulf and the Joint Naval Forces Centre.

The assistants of the British House of Commons members hailed the distinguished step, which gives them the opportunity to learn closely about the history and achievements of the Kingdom of Bahrain and its distinguished relations with the United Kingdom. They expressed keenness on keeping in touch with the embassy of the Kingdom of Bahrain, hoping that the ceremony will be held annually.
