200 Malaysian Halal Products Make Inroads Into Cambodia

KUALA PILAH (Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia), Sept 21 (Bernama) -- About 200 Malaysian halal products, including cosmetics have made inroads into Cambodia since two years ago. Malaysian Ambassador to Cambodia Hasan Malek said the products were well received by the Cambodian consumers. "The products include roti canai (paratha), sausages, beef fillets, biscuits, canned food, snacks, spices and cereals for breakfast. "The cosmetic products and medicines, which were certified halal, had begun to enter the Cambodian market," he told reporters here, on Wednesday. Hasan said the Malaysian Embassy would continue to promote Malaysian halal products in Cambodia through business-matching sessions between Malaysian and Cambodian entrepreneurs. "Hence, I hope more Malaysian entrepreneurs will take the opportunity to market their halal products in Cambodia," he said. --BERNAMA
