80 Per Cent Of Space At SEMICON SEA 2017 Taken Up
KUALA LUMPUR, Dec 23 (Bernama) -- More than 80 per cent of SEMICON Southeast Asia 2017's (SEMICON SEA 2017) exhibition space has been taken up, said its organiser, SEMI Southeast Asia.
President Ng Kai Fai said the bookings had exceeded expectations and was a testament to the continued vibrancy and dynamism of the semiconductor industry in SEA.
"We expect more than 300 companies and 7,500 patrons from 15 countries to participate in the business matching sessions, technical forums and multitude workshops and seminars," he said in a statement here Thursday.
The exhibition, the region's premier showcase for electronics innovation, will take place for three days from Apr 25, 2017 at the Subterranean Penang International Convention and Exhibition Centre.
Ng said SEMICON SEA 2017 was expected to be bigger than ever, with an expanding industry scope from chip manufacturing to system-level integration, highlighting latest market trends and technology to boost investment and growth across various sectors in the region.
"The event for the first time will feature a Failure Analysis Pavilion along with another definite highlight, FuturaX," Ng added.
SEMI connects more than 2,000 member companies and more than a quarter-million professionals worldwide to advance the science and business of electronics manufacturing.
