Agriculture Minister Discusses With The Russian Ambassador Opening New Prospects For Cooperation Between The Two Countries

Baghdad / NINA / - The Minister of Agriculture, Muhammad Karim Al-Khafaji, discussed with the Russian Ambassador in Baghdad, Elbrus Kutrashev, opening new prospects for cooperation in the field of supporting the agricultural sector. During his meeting with the Russian ambassador, the minister stressed the depth of the historical relations between the two friendly countries at all levels, expressing the ministry's readiness to cooperate with the Russian side in the fields of providing fertilizers of dab and urea to the agricultural sector, through the cooperation of the private sector in the two friendly countries, and by forming a technical team from the ministry to study this file. For his part, the Russian ambassador indicated his country's desire to cooperate with Iraq in several areas, including the agricultural field, praising the development taking place in the agricultural sector, both plant and animal, in Iraq, congratulating the minister for Iraq's success in hosting the Regional Conference for the Near East and North Africa in Baghdad for the period February 7-8, 2022, in the hope of developing economic relations between the two countries./End
