Airbus Increases Aircraft Average List Prices By 1.1 Pct

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 13 (Bernama) -- Airbus has increased the average list prices of aircraft by 1.1 per cent across the product line, effective Jan 1. The price increase has been calculated according to Airbus’ standard escalation formula over the January 2015 to January 2016 period and takes into account the drop in materials and commodities prices, it said in a statement here. "Our new 2016 price increase reflects the strong appetite from customers around the globe for Airbus’ comprehensive, modern and innovative product range," said Chief Operating Officer, Customers, John Leahy. Airbus is the world’s leading aircraft manufacturer of passenger airliners, ranging in capacity from 100 to more than 500 seats. It has sold more than 16,300 aircraft to more than 380 customers worldwide and of these, more than 9,500 aircraft have been delivered. -- BERNAMA
