Alba receives French Chamber of Commerce in Bahrain delegation

Manama, Mar. 19 (BNA): Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba), received a delegation from the French Chamber of Commerce in Bahrain (FCCIB), headed by the French Ambassador to Bahrain Cécile Longé. Comprising around 30 representatives to include owners and executives of French-based companies in Bahrain, the delegation was received by Alba’s Deputy CEO Ali Al Baqali,and other officials. “It is our pleasure to receive the high-level delegation from the French Chamber of Commerce in Bahrain and we are equally pleased to welcome the French Ambassador on Alba campus. This visit underlines Alba’s continuous endeavours to strengthen business and bilateral ties with French companies and discuss opportunities for economic development to benefit both countries,” Al Baqali said. The delegation was briefed about Alba’s accomplishments over the last 4 decades, the Company’s Safety and Environmental initiatives that comply with the world’s best practices as well as the progress of Line 6 Expansion Project which will make Alba the world’s largest smelter upon full ramp-up. The delegation was convoyed in a tour around Alba site and Line 6 Expansion Project.
