Alba wins RoSPA gold medal

Manama, June 25 (BNA): Aluminium Bahrain B.S.C. (Alba) said it has received the Gold Medal 2019 awarded by the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) in recognition of the company's outstanding practices to ensure a safe and healthy workplace ergonomics. The medal was received by Alba’s Safety, Health & Environment Manager, Nizar Hameed, during the RoSPA Health and Safety Awards ceremony in London. On this occasion, Alba’s CEO Tim Murray, said: "We are honored to receive this prestigious accolade for the sixth year consecutively as it underlines our Extreme Ownership on the best Safety standards over the years. We look forward to keep the Safety momentum as we are on course for Alba’s transformation to be the largest smelter in the world with the full ramp-up of its Line 6 Expansion Project by 31 July 2019." The RoSPA awards scheme recognises organisations’ achievement in Health and Safety management systems around the world, including practical leadership and workforce involvement.
