Antara Wants To Cooperate With Bernama On Product And Service Marketing
KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 21 (Bernama) -- The Indonesian News Agency, Antara aspires to develop close ties with the Malaysia National News Agency (Bernama) in marketing products and services and the channelling of news.
Antara Public Service Obligation Manager, Kusnanto Salim said both organisations were capable of working together well via an effective marketing strategy.
"I feel Antara and Bernama can be synergistic especially in marketing business products by marketing made-in-Malaysia products via Antara TV and web portal and, vice versa.
"We will be able to sell each other's products and services and know the cultures of both nations via the joint productions of programmes and also advertisement promotions in the TV and web portals of both organisations," he told Bernama during an Indonesian delegation visit to the news agency here, Wednesday.
The visit was participated by Antara journalists and officials from several ministries of the republic.
The delegation was received by Bernama Editor-in-Chief Zakaria Abd Wahab, Domestic News Service Deputy Editor-in-Chief Mokhtar Hussain and Economic News Service Deputy Editor-in-Chief Mikhail Raj Abdullah.
Indonesian Finance Ministry's subsidy division chief Yani Farida Aryani Sirod said Bernama was far more advanced and skilled in seeking business opportunities.
"Bernama is very advanced and clever in finding business opportunities with the changing times. The way they channel news is also advanced and in line with the changing time.
"We want to learn much more from Bernama because, for Antara, it is no longer a normal business but there must be improvements in products including distribution," she said.
