ARCHIDEX 2019 Expected To Draw 35,000 Visitors

KUALA LUMPUR, May 24 (Bernama) -- The International Architecture, Interior Design & Building Exhibition (ARCHIDEX) to be held here from July 3 to 6 is expected to draw 35,000 professionals and trade visitors from 70 countries. Jointly organised by the C.I.S Network Sdn Bhd and Pertubuhan Akitek Malaysia (PAM), ARCHIDEX 2019 will see a participation of 600 local and international exhibitors from more than 20 countries. "Building together across the 20 years, we have put Malaysia in the eyes of the world with ARCHIDEX being known as a niche marketplace for the building industry and touted as a global gateway to Southeast Asia," C.I.S Network President Datuk Vincent Lim said in a statement Thursday. “We are also partnering with Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade) to enable trade buyers to source for local products and technologies,” he said, adding that some 2,800 trade visitors were expected to visit the exhibition. In addition, four country pavilions -- China, Korea and Singapore and Taiwan, as well as a new Innovation Hall will be set up during ARCHIDEX 2019. The Innovation Hall will house PAM Pavilion of Tomorrowland, an area for visitors to explore future architecture and design through robotics, programming, Artificial Intelligence, Augmented and Virtual Reality, Big Data and Blockchain. ARCHIDEX 2019, held in conjunction with the Kuala Lumpur Architecture Festival, will take place at Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre. -- BERNAMA
