Azerbaijan and BSEC discuss enhancement of cooperation

Baku, February 19 (AzerTAc). Azerbaijan’s Minister of Economy and Industry Shahin Mustafayev met with Secretary General of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation Organization (BSEC) Victor Tvirkun to discuss ways of expanding cooperation. The Minister said Azerbaijan attaches special importance to its cooperation with international organizations, including BSEC. He said Azerbaijan enjoys successful cooperation with Black Sea Trade and Development Bank and BSEC Business Council. Shahin Mustafayev said Azerbaijan is a reliable partner, economic and cultural center of the region. He underlined political and macroeconomic stability in the country, noting favorable conditions created for investors. The Minister said Azerbaijan is the initiator and major participant of the projects implemented in the region, and underlined that Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan pipeline and Baku-Tbilisi-Erzurum gas pipeline enrich energy map of the region and pave the way for the delivery of the Caspian resources to Europe. He also noted the Baku-Tbilisi-Kars railway project will enhance transit potential of Azerbaijan. Victor Tvirkun said the organization attaches great importance to the cooperation with Azerbaijan, and expressed confidence that this collaboration will be enhanced.
