BAB to hold open dialogue

Manama, Apr. 8 (BNA): Bahrain Association of Banks (BAB) will hold its second open dialogue under patronage of Rasheed Al Maaraj, Governor of the Central Bank of Bahrain, on April 21.
The dialogue will bring out top banking professionals together to acquire different insights and sharing expertise on most up to date occurrences of the banking sector. It will provide an opportunity for banking institutions to meet the Central Bank of Bahrain (CBB), Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB) and Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), and amplify the experience of participants and empower them to exchange their knowledge and expertise.
Adnan Yousef, Chairman of the Association, said that this meeting will be held concurrently with the 100th anniversary of the banking sector in Bahrain. He praised all efforts exerted by all partners to boost sector's progress, increase its contribution to GDP, increase its ability to innovate, employ modern technologies and create quality employment opportunities for citizens.
"We would like to express our appreciation and pride in CBB’s ongoing corporation with BAB to achieve the association’s objectives and activate its contribution to national efforts aimed at strengthening Bahraini banking sector’s leadership." he said.
He added that BAB’s objectives is to strengthen the role of the Association as a platform that brings together all of us to exchange experiences and expertise, and discuss the specific needs of the banking sector in terms of capacity building, training and researches, and to enhance BAB’s ability to meet the aspirations of its members.
He pointed out that this meeting comes after the success of last year’s first dialogue held by the association. He concluded his statement by inviting all concerned to attend and participate in dialogue’s discussions.
