Bahrain Air Show witnesses tremendous growth: Embraer

By Naila Barakat Manama, Nov. 16 (BNA): There has been a tremendous development in the Bahrain International Airshow and quality of delegations here, especially in the defense sector, Guy Douglas, Director Corporate Communication EMEA, at Embraer, has said. “This is our largest ever presence at the Bahrain International Airshow. During the last show, we had one aircraft on a static display. This year because of the growing interest in Embraer in all lines of business we have invested significantly more in the BIAC 2018." He said that the demand for executive jets in Bahrain was on the rise. "We are having some of latest and the most capable executive jets available in the aviation industry today; in fact just last month we launched two new aircraft that completely dominate the segment of the market. In the defence segment we have another brand-new transport aircraft.” Embraer is a Brazilian aerospace company headquartered in São Paulo that produces commercial, military, executive and agricultural aircraft and provides aeronautical services. “We have an aircraft outside on display and two others on display by Etihad and Emirates. Both Etihad and Emirates use our executive jets or private jets as training aircrafts for their flight training schools. So, that’s one of the growing areas for our executive jet business since Etihad and Emirates are using them for their pilot training as well as by the Royal Airforce in the UK.”
