Bahrain, Bangladesh share keenness to boost trade, bolster cooperation

Manama, Mar. 10 (BNA): Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI) Chairman Sameer Abdullah Nass has stressed the importance of activating and developing joint economic, investment and commercial relations between Bahrain and Bangladesh. The volume of trade exchanges between the two countries should be increased in order to fulfill the aspirations of the two countries, he said during a meeting Bangladesh's Ambassador to Bahrain Nazrul Islam. The BCCI is keen on elevating the status of the relations between the two countries through reinvigorating the role of the private sector in moving forward with mutual investments and commercial activities, he added. The ambassador expressed his country's pride in the close relations that bind it with Bahrain and stressed its aspiration to exchange expertise and the embassy’s readiness to intensify efforts with the BCCI to stimulate partnerships between the business communities and boost trade exchange. The volume of trade between the two countries reached $26.4 million in 2020.
