Bahrain Food Excellence Award second edition launched

Manama, Oct. 25 (BNA):Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI)'s food wealth committee headed by Khalid Al Amin has launched the second edition of "Bahrain Food Excellence Award" for local food and beverages companies. In this regard, Al Amin said "The award mainly aims at highlighting and promoting local products, invigorating the food and beverages sector, and reinforcing competition". With regard to eligible participants, he explained "Participants should meet a number of requirements such as having their products manufactured locally with at least 5% of the ingredients from the local market, involving local manpower in the production process, and selling the product mainly in the local market." He called local food and beverages businesses to register for the award by entering their details in a special form available on the official website of the chamber www.bcci.bh It is worth to mention that Aljaser Factory was awarded the Bahrain Food Excellence Award in its first edition.
