Basra Governor General Visits Arvand Free Zone

Abadan, Feb 25, IRNA – Governor General of Basra Province, Iraq, Khalaf Abdulsamad and the accompanying delegation, who are in southwestern province of Iran, Khuzestan, visited Arvand Free Zone on Friday. The Iraqi delegation visited trade quay of Shalamcheh and got acquainted with process of exports from Iran to Iraq via zero border point. They also visited a dredging project, Minoo Island Bridge, Boating Bridge and some other projects in the area. Acting director of the zone Behrouz Hosseinifar told IRNA that the Iraqi delegation are here to be kept abreast of the potentials of the Arvand Free Zone. Abdulsamad, for his part, said the aim of his visit to Khuzestan Province is to consult with Iranian officials, contractors and industrialists and invite them to attend in rebuilding process of the Basra Province./end
