Basra To Host Fair On Khuzestan Province's Trade Capability

Ahvaz, Jan 15, IRNA – An exhibition on Khuzestan province's capabilities in the fields of technical engineering services, construction, agriculture and fisheries and oil downstream industries will open in Basra in presence of representatives from 65 Iranian companies will open tomorrow in Basra. The event which will feature the Iranian companies' capabilities in the fields of reconstructing the Iraqi southern province will work until January 19. Khuzestan Province's Governor-General Jafar Hejazi told IRNA that Iraq is a suitable market for the Iranian non-oil products. "We have held various meetings with Basra's Governor General Abdessamad Khalaf and signed different cooperation agreements in the fields of economy, trade and agriculture," he said. Iraq is the second target market for the Iranian non-oil products following China, Hejazi said, adding the export items include cement, construction materials, fruits and fish. Basra is Iraq's third main city with a population of 406,269./end
