BCCI receives Argentinian trade delegation

Manama, (BNA): Second Deputy Chairman of the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), Mohammed Abduljabbar Al-Kooheji, met, in the presence of the Food Wealth Committee Chairman, Khalid Ali Al-Ameen, and a representative of the Bahrain Economic Development Board (EDB), an Argentinian trade delegation representing a number of economic sectors. Al-Kooheji called for intensifying the exchange of trade delegations’ visits in order to motivate businessmen and representatives of mega companies in the two countries to explore the available investment opportunities and deepen relations between the two friendly countries. He stressed that BCCI looks forward to widening the horizons of bilateral trade through launching joint projects, encouraging delegations’ visits and holding exhibitions and conferences. He affirmed that Bahrain boasts the best investment incentives in the region, adding that the kingdom is the gateway to all markets of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries. The Argentine delegation expressed their country’s interest in enhancing the level of its relations with Bahrain through activating the role of the private sector and boosting joint investments, highlighting the importance of removing all obstacles facing efforts to enhance bilateral trade exchange and creating promising economic partnerships between them, given the fact that they enjoy all partnership and investment requirements. The delegation highlighted the sectors and areas that are witnessing remarkable growth in Argentina, including advanced industries, agricultural machinery and equipment, real estate, water systems, dairy products and halal food, calling on the Bahraini private sector to enhance cooperation in these fields in order to launch promising investment projects between the two sides. EDB representative gave a presentation about the advantages of investment in Bahrain, noting that the country’s geographical location is an attractive element for various businesses. He said that many international companies have taken Bahrain as their regional headquarters due to its proximity to GCC markets.
