BHB participates in Youth City 2030

Manama, Aug. 19 (BNA): Bahrain Bourse has concluded its participation in Youth City 2030 program's 10th edition, held under the patronage of His Highness Shaikh Nasser bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Representative of His Majesty the King for Charity Work and Youth Affairs and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Youth and Sports (SCYS). The program was organized by the Ministry of Youth and Sports Affairs supported by Tamkeen as a strategic partner. The event took place at Bahrain International Exhibition and Convention Centre (BIECC) between July 14 and August 8 themed "I'm Bahraini to my pride". During the final ceremony of the Youth City 2030, the top winning team was announced followed by the team with the best presentation, and the team with the best financial performance. Bahrain Bourse’s participation in the Youth City goes in line with its awareness programs that aim to enhance financial literacy awareness among various age groups and especially the youth, and intends to have a positive long-term effect on both the community awareness level and on the participants of the program. Bahrain Bourse highly values the importance of awareness programs that aim to enhance financial literacy for various age groups. Bahrain Bourse has been running several awareness programs including the "Smart Investor Program" which targets elementary level students, and "TradeQuest" program which targets high school and university students and has been running for the past 21 years, in addition to the "Investment Academy" which is a joint initiative between Bahrain Bourse & BIBF aimed at promoting training programs to support the Capital Market in Bahrain and is targeted towards beginner, intermediate, and professional investors. Bahrain Bourse’s Trading Challenge is a virtual trading competition aimed at providing participants with practical experience of trading in the stock market, where students are expected to analyze and select, and manage a portfolio of equities listed on Bahrain Bourse.
