BisB receives Governance and CSR Award at WIBC Performance Awards 2018

Manama, (BNA): Bahrain Islamic Bank (BisB) has emerged as a winner of the "Governance & CSR Award" at the 4TH edition of the World Islamic Banking Conference (WIBC) Leaderboard Performance Awards 2018, which was held during the WIBC 25th edition in late November at Art Rotana Hotel, Amwaj Islands, Kingdom of Bahrain. The Leaderboard Awards holistically ranks entities on based individual metrics at a global and regional level, as well as an aggregate score taking into account key metrics in Financial Stability, Financial Performance, and finally Governance and Social Responsibility. "We are proud to receive this prestigious award, as the WIBC Awards is critical in order to help the Islamic finance industry evaluate the challenges and growth opportunities that lie ahead. The Governance and Social Responsibility category was a key award of this year’s WIBC Performance Awards, the scores were measured against the CSR Index and the Islamic Finance Development Indicator (IFDI) that were extracted from the Thomson Reuters database.
