Boosting trade with Iran is a priority for Turkey’s MUSIAD

TEHRAN,May 13(MNA) – Turkey’s Independent Industrialists’ and Businessmen’s Association (MUSIAD) Chairman, Nail Olpak said that expanding trade with Iran is a priority for the association. In a meeting with the Consul General of the Islamic Republic of Iran Mahmoud Heidari, in Istanbul on Friday, the Turkish official stressed the need for broadening bilateral ties much more than in the past. Iran’s Ambassador to Turkey, Bahman Hosseinpour, demanded that the bilateral economic transactions between Tehran and Ankara be increased to $20 billion in 2012. The value of Iran-Turkey trade exceeded $16 billion in 2011. The two countries plan to increase the level of their bilateral trade volume to $30 billion by 2015.
