Breeders Encouraged To Produce High-Quality Fighting Fish

KUALA KANGSAR (Perak, Malaysia) Sept 3 (Bernama) – Betta Splendens or fighting fish breeders in the state are encouraged to produce high-quality variations of the ornamental fish in order to meet the growing demand for the aquatic animal. Perak Fisheries Department director Zaki Mokri said countries with high demand for the ornamental fish included Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia, China and Taiwan. "We are ready to provide assistance and training (to the breeders) to produce quality Betta fish," he told a press conference after officiating the closing ceremony of the 4th Perak Betta Splendens Open 2018 at the Enggor Ornamental Fish Centre here Sunday.
