China, Iraq – Iran’s biggest export markets
TEHRAN,May 6(MNA) - China and Iraq were the main importers of Iranian goods last year, importing $5.7 billion and $5.2 billion in goods respectively.
Iranian exports to China and Iraq rose by 24 percent and 13 percent respectively compared to the year before, the report added. The Iranian calendar year ends on March 19.
The UAE is the third biggest importer, buying $4.5 billion of Iranian goods, showing a 35 percent growth year on year.
Previously, the Customs Administration head announced that Iran had exported around $43.7 billion worth of non-oil goods and imported some $61.8 billion worth of goods last year, hitting the unprecedented mark of $105 billion in annual trade.
Abbas Memarnejad said non-oil exports rose by 28 percent compared to the year before, while imports declined by 4 percent.
