CIMB Secures Operating Licence In Vietnam, First Branch By Year-End

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 7 (Bernama) -- CIMB Bank Bhd has secured an operating licence from the State Bank of Vietnam to establish and operate a 100 per cent-owned subsidiary in Vietnam. This follows the receipt of an approval-in-principle on Aug 7, 2015. "With this approval, CIMB will embark on its plans to set up operations in the country to offer a comprehensive range of corporate, commercial and consumer products and services," CIMB Group Holdings Bhd said in a filing to Bursa Malaysia (Malaysia's Stock Exchange) on Tuesday. CIMB's first branch in Hanoi is expected to be fully operational by year-end, it added. --BERNAMA
