Commerce Ministry, Board of Trade to find outstanding trade associations

BANGKOK, June 26 (TNA) -- The Commerce Ministry and the Board of Trade of Thailand are building networks among trade associations and organizing a contest to find outstanding trade associations and executives. Banjongjitt Angsusingh, director-general of the Business Development Department, said the department and the Board of Trade of Thailand were conducting the activities to raise awareness on the importance of networking among trade associations. Besides, the department has asked trade associations to work out strategies for four business sectors that cover 30 trade associations. It will send its specialists to advise trade associations to formulate the strategies that will be later implemented. The specialists will also bring representatives of trade associations to explore investment opportunities in investment potential areas including the Eastern Economic Corridor. She said that the department and the Board of Trade of Thailand organised the 5th annual contest of outstanding trade associations and executives. The contest is aimed at honoring the trade associations that meet managerial standards and motivating business development. (TNA)
