Conference to Mull Impact of Oil Prices
Doha, March 20 (QNA) - The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies will organise the Middle East Economic Association's 15th International Conference under the patronage of HE the Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al-Thani.
The conference titled 'Impact of Oil Price Changes on the Economic Growth and Development in the Middle East and North Africa' will be held from March 23 to 25 at the Ritz Carlton here.
The conference will discuss various topics concerning the energy industry and market dynamics.
Delegates will mull at the conference the impact of volatile oil prices on the economy of the countries in the MENA region that is sensitive to these changes because some member countries are major oil producers and exporters, while others are dependent on petroleum as consumers.
The plenary session will focus on 'Oil Price Fluctuations: Fiscal and Monetary Policies'. Four sessions titled 'Economics of Education: MENA Applications'; 'Impact of Oil Shocks on the Stock Market'; 'Environmental Economics in the MENA' and 'Oil Price Determinants: Monetary and Fiscal Policies' will be held simultaneously on the first day.
